I have a question for you today. How do you measure your height? Is it in inches, meters, parsecs? (In case you are wondering, I am 5.67978978 × 10-17 Parsecs tall.) Well, you may want to take a look at your current measurement method and change it to hands. You should also read my review of the 14 Hands Cab while you’re converting all of you know to this new standard.
Name: 14 Hands Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery: 14 Hands Vineyards
Alcohol by Vol.: 13.5%
(Price can vary on state, taxes, the store’s mark-up, and if you are going to stay sober during your company’s holiday party.)
The wine had about an even mix between a dark red and deep purple color. There was very pleasant oak, spice, and vanilla undertones to compliment the black cherry that seemed to prevail. I really enjoyed the smell of this wine and think that I could have kept my nose in the glass all day, but I soldiered on and went on to tasting.
I was very, very surprised with my first taste of the wine. The black cherry that I detected was much more tame than I anticipated. It also had a full body with a warm, smooth mouth taste that ended in a long, oaky finish with a slight hint of vanilla.
I would have liked to have tried this wine with some prime rib. I don’t even know if I would have added a side. I think a pound or so of prime rib and this wine would have been wonderful enough.
Rating: Enjoy Again
Have you figured out how tall you are in hands? I’m 17.25 hands. If you haven’t figured this out yet, then you need to keep going. I, on the other hand, will go have another glass of the Cab.
