Happy #WineWednesday! Today, I revisit Kuhlman Cellars to try some of their newer wines. I remember the Gypsum from the last visit and recall it was a very refreshing red wine, so I was hoping that didn’t change. I was especially excited to try their 2017 Ignis red blend. These were grapes that were of exceptional quality and they have not made an Ignis blend since that vintage.
Gypsum Red Blend

►Varietal: 35% Grenache, 25% Tempranillo, 24% Merlot, 12% Mourvedre, 4% Carignan

Ignis Red Blend

►Varietal: 47% Tempranillo, 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec
►Region: Texas High Plains AVA, Texas
►ABV: 15.5%
►Price: $62
